Ward Campout

We had a great time this last weekend at the ward camp out. It rained just before we got there but then the sky cleared up and we had a wonderful time. Our friends Lisa and Jeff were in charge of it this year. They did an amazing job. They are so talented and creative. We played lets make a deal, had a fish pond for the kids, tye died t-shirts ate lots of yummy food, sat around a camp fire getting to know people better and played in the bubbles. Olivia is really taken by a little girl in our ward named Laura. She babysat Olivia last week and Olivia can not stop talking about her. She LOVES her. At the ward camp out she only wanted to find and play with Laura. When it was time for bed Olivia was not having the "tent" experience very well. She kept crying "Put my in the car and drive me home!" Over and over. Eventually she calmed down and we all slept in one big sleeping bag on a air mattress. We had a GREAT time!
Yummy Soup

Our Local Grocery store, Dick's Market has samples everyday of a new recipe. Olivia and I love to go and try what they have new almost everyday. I have made several of the recipe's and love them. This one is by far my favorite. It has a lame name so I will rename it and share the recipe. Olivia LOVES it and will eat a whole bowl full.
Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
1 can (14oz) Chicken Broth
1 3/4 cup chopped carrots
2 cups cooked wild rice (I use min. rice)
2 cans (10 oz) reduced fat cream of chicken soup
1 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried sage
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 cup cooked chicken (1/2 of a rotisserie chicken)
2 cups coarsely chopped baby spinach
1/2 cup fat-free half and half or skim milk
Bring broth to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add carrots; cook 10 min. Add rice, soup, thyme, sage and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir in chicken, spinach and milk. Cook stirring occasionally, about 2 minutes or until heated through.
Willard Bay

Kevin's parents came for a visit not that long ago and we had a wonderful time. Filled with lots of driving, watching old home movies and visiting a few places they had never been. We love when people come visit and we can see more of the wonderful places that are just around the corner from us. Again I have not been very good at taking pictures lately so these are it for the trip his parents made up here. Seven days and four pictures. Oh well.....
The Final Touch
Girls Weekend
As pathetic as this is..... this is the only picture i have to document our wedding dress weekend. We had so much fun, especially Olivia and her cousin Gracie! We can't wait to see everyone again soon.Olivia was excited for her cousin to come and stay with us. She was even willing to let her cousin sleep in her bed which she at the time she rarely slept in. Until Gracie was asleep, then she wanted her bed back. It was a weekend of tears at bed time but we made it through. When they left she just wanted to sit in her bed and play. Funny Girl!
Mini Corn Dogs from Artic Circle

Olivia loves chicken nuggets. Mostly from McDonald's. The other day I went to get her some chicken nuggets from Artic Circle and when I looked in the bag as I drove off they gave me mini corn dogs. I new she would be upset. I finally convinced her to try them and she loved them. Yeah.... one more food she likes that is horrible for her!
On another note.... for those of you who do not know what Artic Circle is.... they are quite possibly the worst fast food chain I have ever eaten at. The only exception is they have an amazing nutterbutter milkshake. I wonder if that is what keeps them in business!
