Happy Anniversary

Once again I am almost two months late on the anniversary post. We celebrated our four year anniversary in November. I posted some pictures of our honeymoon, just to remember.

Marrying Kevin was by far the best thing I have ever done in my life. He is my best friend. I never knew that it could be this great. I love everyday that I have with him. His humor, his patience and his love is everything I have ever wanted. I am so glad he is mine forever!

Happy Birthday Little One!

Our sweet girl turned 3, back in November. I can't believe she is three and I can't believe it has taken me almost two months to post about it. She had a great day filled with decorations, a small party at the playground with friends, dinner and cake at Aunt Kimmies and lots of fun toys!

Olivia is growing up so fast it is hard to believe. She makes us laugh all the time. She has an amazingly large personality with a lot of opinions.

She loves to catch us when we say "stupid" then she says my mommy and daddy say bad words.

The other day she was having a hard time trying to go to the bathroom. (I know, to much info) So we said a prayer and then after she was done she said, "Mommy we need to pray and tell Heavenly Father thank you for helping me."

She loves to go shopping. She knows all the names of the stores near us that we like to go to. She says "I need to try on clothes that are my size." The other day we were at TJ Max and she found a dress she loved. We went into the dressing room, she put it on and said, "I look like a princess."

Olivia LOVES her friends. She cries when she misses them and wants them to come over. She cries when they leave. She especially loves her friend Byron and told me the other day that they were going to get married someday like Mommy and Daddy.

Last but not least, Olivia LOVES LOVES LOVES to snuggle. She begs us to snuggle with her. She is such a sweet joy. Our lives are wonderfully blessed because of her.

The new addition

I can't imagine that anyone has not heard, but just in case...

We are having another baby! Along with most of my friends in my ward. It seems strange but true we are all having a baby within a few months of each other.

Hence the reason for my lack of blogging and good picture taking. Hopefully I will feel better really soon and be able to be me again.

My Grandma

It seems strange that my Grandma died. She passed away last month. It is hard to imagine that she is no longer around. Every time I went home to my parents house part of the excitement was knowing I was going to see my grandparents. They lived about a 5 minute walk from my house my whole life. My grandma was an amazing women to me. She was so clean and orderly. It was something to be admired. Especially now that I have a family I realize that it is so hard to have a clean house. She is a big part of some of my most cherished childhood memories. I remember when I was old enough to get my ears pierced and Grandma was going to take me. I was sooooo excited, until I got there and I realized that it was going to hurt. I started to panic. My grandma looked at me and said "don't worry it doesn't hurt." I looked at her and said "how do you know you don't have your ears pierced." She was caught off guard. Needless to say until she did it and told me for sure it would not hurt, I would not do it. So we both got our ears pierced that day. My other favorite memories of her are riding big wheel bikes at her house, eating lemon cookies, sitting on lawn chairs in her front yard and talking to all the neighbors, using her carpet rake to fluff up the shag carpet, playing with wind up toys in her kitchen, playing with barbies in the front bedroom, going into her bathroom and snooping through all of her makeup wishing it was mine, looking at all of her jewlery and wishing I could have it also. Last but not least was Christmas Eve. My grandma always had her house decorated so pretty for Christmas. She had these ornaments on her tree that she made in Relief Society that I thought were the prettiest I had ever seen. Her mashed potoatoes were amazing. The best I have ever had to this day. I once asked her what was in them and she looked at me as if I was dumb and said, "Potatoes." So needless to say I have never, no matter how hard I have tried been able to duplicate them. She would make popcorn balls and Christmas trees. We were not allowed to eat them in her house..... to much of a mess, I am sure. So would always have a huge pile of presents for all of us. My Grandma loved us and I knew it. I felt it and I always knew! She will be someone I will always miss until I see her again. My sweet Grandpa misses her dearly. They were married for 68 years. I can't imagine lossing someone that you were able to love that long.

Baking with Liv

Olivia wanted to make spider cupcakes. She begged and begged. So after scouts we set out to make some spider cupcakes for her friends. She was in heaven. She loved it.

Galveston

I have been on a leave from blogging for a while. I have so many things that have gone on that I should have blogged about however I did not take pictures of most of them and I simply have not felt like blogging. This was from a recent trip to Houston. We wanted to go down and see Galveston beach after the Hurricane that happened last year. We were there the weekend before the last hurricane and we knew how devastating the damage was. I was amazed how much they have built back up and also amazed at how much damage there still was. We had fun playing in the sand and just being there. Olivia built her first sand castle with her daddy.

Halloween

Olivia decided what to do with the pumpkin. She told me what she wanted and I drew it. At first she said she wanted a sad face so I drew one and then she kissed the pumpkin and was upset that the face did not turn happy. It is a game she likes to play with Kevin and I. She says "be sad" and then she kisses you and you are magically happy!

As you could see we all dressed up. We stared out by having a soup dinner with some friends of ours. When Kevin found out that they were dressing up he wanted to go down into the storage and get the Halloween boxes. So that is what we did. We were a Rocker and a nerd. Kind of funny. Kevin is wearing my clothes and I am wearing his. This year all Olivia wanted to be was a Piggy. I was not sure how it was going to happen since I could not find a pig costume. I eventually decided to make it. I had no pattern so I free handed it. She loved it. The first time she put on the pig hat she instinctively said "oink oink." We had a blast trick or treating. She loved it so much that she was crying when we were going home over two hours after we started. Next year we will hit all of the festivities. She will love it!

Elisa's Birthday...

We celebrated my great friend Elisa's birthday at the end of last month with a birthday breakfast. We had lots of yummy food and of course most of us did not shower or put on make up. I promised Elisa I would not put this picture on the blog.... I have to say I secretly always planned on it. I am just glad that it is a good picture of her. She is an inspiring person. I love that I have become such great friends with her. I love everything about her, she always makes everyone around her feel good.
